Cleveland, Tenn. (April 13, 2013) --- The Milligan College women's tennis team picked up a 7-2 nonconference victory over No. 20 Lee University on Saturday afternoon in Cleveland, Tenn. The Milligan men came up short as they fell 7-2 to the Flames.

Rachel Hodas (Knoxville, Tenn.) held off Tarah Garner for a 2-6, 6-3, 6-4 win at No. 2 singles.
Sarah Rainwater (Knoxville, Tenn.) dispatched Jodie Rice 6-1, 6-2 at No. 3 singles, while
Kayla Kelly (Chattanooga, Tenn.) picked up a 6-1, 6-3 victory at No. 4 singles over Maclain Yowarsky.
Ahmee Kelly (Chattanooga, Tenn.) and
Hallie Winfrey (Fayetteville, Ga.) also won their singles match-ups.

  In doubles action, K. Kelly and Hodas defeated the team of Christy North and Yowarsky at No. 2 doubles by a score of 8-2. A. Kelly and Winfrey also picked up a win at No. 3 doubles with an 8-3 win over Kelsey Lovingood and Rice.

  On the men's side,
Colin Bumann (Abilene, Tex.) picked up a 7-6, 6-1 No. 2 singles victory over Vincent Andy. The duo of
Sebastian Jonsson (Lysekill, Sweden) and
Jackson Lenoir (Chattanooga, Tenn.) outlasted Kevin Tan and Andy for a 8-5 victory at No. 2 doubles.

  The Milligan women improve to 16-2 overall, while the men fall to 6-11.

  The Buffaloes return to action on Sunday, April 14, as they host Appalachian Athletic Conference foe Reinhardt University. Match time at the Mathes Tennis Center is set for 12:30 p.m.
