Milligan College, Tenn. (Aug. 23, 2013) --- The Milligan College men's soccer team was unable to recover from an early deficit as they fell 4-1 to No. 5 Auburn University-Montgomery in the Georgia Gwinnett Classic on Friday in Lawrenceville, Ga.
The Warhawks came out quickly as they took a 3-0 lead in the first 10 minutes. The Buffaloes broke onto the board when Jonathon Colson (Johnson City, Tenn.) scored off a Ryan Reily (Maryville, Tenn.) assist in the 22nd minute. AUM scored again as they took a 4-1 lead into the half with a goal in the 26th minute. Neither team was able to break back onto the scoreboard in the second half.
Defensively, Dan Ball (Chatham, England) recorded four saves for the Buffaloes in a complete game effort.
The Buffaloes will close out the Georgia Gwinnett College Classic against the host Geogia Gwinnett on Saturday, Aug. 24. Match time is set for 7 p.m., in Lawrenceville, Ga.
