Buffaloes women's soccer falls at SCAD-Savannah

Savannah, Ga. (Sept. 1, 2013) --- The Milligan College women's soccer team fell 4-0 in nonconference action to SCAD-Savannah on Sunday afternoon in Savannah, Ga.
 
   The Buffaloes were unable to connect on one shot in the first half, and the Bees held a 1-0 advantage at the break with a goal in the 38th minute. In the second half, SCAD-Savannah quickly added to their lead with two goals in the first five minutes. Milligan kept fighting, but they were unable to break onto the scoreboard.
 
   Teagan Wood (Kingsport, Tenn.), Grace Shawley (Mineral Springs, N.C.) and Tiffany Norris (Kingsport, Tenn.) recorded shots for Milligan. Defensively, Lauren McInturff (Kingsport, Tenn.) had four saves in a half of action.
 
   With the loss, Milligan falls to 1-1-1.
 
   The Buffaloes return to action on Thursday, Sept. 5, as they open Appalachian Athletic Conference play against Virginia Intermont at Anglin Field. Match time is set for 7 p.m.
