Buffaloes men's soccer drops AAC match

Montreat, N.C. (Sept. 11, 2013) --- The Milligan College men's soccer team came up short on Tuesday as they fell 2-0 to Montreat College in Appalachian Athletic Conference action in Montreat, N.C.
 
   In the first half, neither team was able to score until the Cavaliers broke onto the board in the 23rd minute. Montreat added another goal in the closing minutes of the half to take a 2-0 lead into the locker room.
 
   Milligan continued to push the ball up the field, but they were unable to score. Dan Ball (Chatham, England) recorded a pair of saves late to keep the game in reach, but the Buffaloes were unable to cut into the deficit.
 
   Defensively, Ball recorded four saves. The Buffaloes had seven shots in the game.
 
   Milligan falls to 1-1 in conference play and 1-4 overall.
 
   The Buffaloes return to action on Tuesday, Sept. 17, as they travel to St. Andrews University for an AAC clash. Match time in Laurinburg, N.C., is set for 4 p.m.
