ATHENS, Tenn. (Oct. 28, 2014) â€" In Tuesday's regular season finale, the Milligan College women's soccer team fell to Appalachian Athletic Conference foe Tennessee Wesleyan College, 3-0.
Milligan (4-9-2, 3-5-2 AAC) surrendered the deciding goal in the seventh minute and was never able to battle back, allowing TWC (9-7-1, 6-3 AAC) to double the lead in the 58th minute then triple it in the 90th. Lady Bulldog forward Alexis Dalberth scored each of the first two goals before Kelsey Hall had the finishing touch with less than 60 seconds to go.

Charlotte Stephens faced 15 shots, including nine on goal, and made six saves. TWC goalkeeper McKenna Loges, the reigning AAC defensive player of the week, earned three saves, facing five Milligan shots. Tuesday marked Loges and the Lady Bulldogs' third straight clean sheet as they improved their standing to fourth in the league.
With the regular season over, Milligan will wait for seeding for the conference tournament which starts with quarterfinal matchups on Nov. 8. The higher seed hosts each of the quarterfinal games. Last season, Milligan advanced as far as the semifinals as the No. 6 seed.ÂÂ
