Men's basketball maintains perfect season at Point

WEST POINT, Ga. (Nov. 12, 2014) â€" Mickey Woods' 15 points led a herd of five Buffaloes with 10+ points in the Milligan College men's basketball team's Appalachian Athletic Conference opener as the Buffaloes defeated Point University 80-67 Wednesday night on the road.
 
Milligan, which improved to 5-0 (1-0 AAC) on the season, used a 12-2 run to end the first half with a 40-30 advantage, and continued its dominance after the break, extending the lead to as many as 20 in the second half.
 
Julian Bailey and Mike Woods Jr. scored 12 apiece, and Morgan McLeod and Kurt Brooks each had 10. Bailey added seven rebounds to lead both teams.
 
Milligan will continue the season this Saturday, Nov. 12 at the Steve Lacy Fieldhouse with another conference matchup when the Buffaloes welcome St. Andrews University as part of a women's and men's doubleheader beginning at 2 p.m.
