Game Recap: Men's Soccer |

Men's soccer remains undefeated with 2-2 draw at SCAD

HARDEEVILLE, S.C. (Sept. 12, 2014) â€" In the Milligan College men's soccer team's third consecutive overtime match, the Buffaloes battled to a 2-2 draw against SCAD Savannah Friday night on the road.

Milligan (2-0-2) received an early goal, in the third minute, from Tapiwa Kaseke and a late one, in the 84th, by Cole Lewis but gave up a pair in the first 10 minutes of the second half to force the draw. Kaseke and Lewis became the seventh and eighth goal-scorers for Milligan this season as the Buffs have found the back of the net at least twice in each match of the season so far.

Milligan was outshot 21-13, including 14-8 in the second half and overtimes, but managed to keep the game close, thanks mostly to Dan Ball who tied his season high with seven saves. Ball made four saves in the first half.

Milligan will begin Appalachian Athletic Conference play in its home opener on Wednesday, Sept. 17 at 6:30 p.m. against St. Andrews University (2-1, 0-1 AAC). Live stats and video, accessible through www.milliganbuffs.com, will be available for fans unable to attend.
