Julian Bailey registered a double-double of 15 points and 10 rebounds, but the Milligan College men's basketball team fell in exhibition action to University of North Carolina Wilmington 100-62 Friday night.

Milligan (3-0) kept the game close throughout much of the first half but ultimately fell victim to a 15-0 run by UNCW that put the game away. It came after an
Alex Biggerstaff 3-pointer from the top of the key put the Buffs up 16-12 on one possession, then a
Will Buckner layup made it 18-14 on the next. From there, the Seahawks scored the next 15 points and limited the Buffs to 1-for-9 from the field over the next five minutes.

Biggerstaff ended the game 2-of-7 from three, finishing with seven points and three rebounds.
Kurt Brooks joined Bailey in double figures with 10 points, three rebounds and two assists.
James Songster had six points to go with seven boards.

For UNCW, Craig Ponder scored 26 points on 8-of-12 shooting while adding three assists and three rebounds. Four other Seahawks reached double digits in scoring.

Milligan returns to action for two midweek road contests, first facing Warren Wilson on Monday, Nov. 16, in Asheville. The Buffs are back home on Saturday, Nov. 21, for an Appalachian Athletic Conference meeting with St. Andrews. Tip is set for 4 p.m. after the women's game.
