WEST POINT, Ga. (Oct. 1, 2016) - Milligan College's men's soccer team continued its Appalachian Athletic Conference play on Saturday, traveling to Point University. The Buffaloes created multiple opportunities throughout the game,  but ultimately fell 1-0.
Milligan (4-6, 1-3 AAC) outshot the Skyhawks 9-6, but could not execute on its chances.  In the opening minutes, the Buffaloes' leading scorer, Zana Ali, got a shot on goal and forced Skyhawks goalie Jacob Price to save the goal.
With 17 minutes left in the first half, Point scored the only goal of the game. On the team's first shot of the game, Alex Engel kicked it in and was assisted by Juan Domingo.
Trying to recreate some of the same heroics that won Milligan's last game, the Buffaloes had one last shot in the final minute, but Nazren Habte missed the shot wide of the goal.
Milligan continues conference play next Saturday on the road at Bryan College. The Buffaloes return to Anglin Field the following Tuesday to host Montreat College.ÂÂ
