Jack Allan scored his third goal of the season, but it was in a losing effort as the Milligan College men's soccer team lost to No. 13 Bryan College, 4-1, on the road Saturday afternoon in an Appalachian Athletic Conference matchup.

Milligan (4-7, 1-4 AAC) fell behind in the 16th minute of action when Bryan's (10-0-2, 3-0-1 AAC) Charlie Clarke found the back of the net for the game's first goal. Clarke then doubled the lead less than four minutes later, and he would round out the scoring with the game's last goal in the 86th minute.

Allan earned his goal on a penalty kick early in the second half, but the Buffs were outshot 15-8 in the contest, including 7-3 on shots on goal. Senior goalkeeper
Nick Smith made three saves.

Milligan has two home games scheduled for the upcoming week. The Buffs will host Montreat College on Tuesday, Oct. 11, before hosting St. Andrews University on Saturday, Oct. 15.
