Men's soccer falls to Cavaliers

MILLIGAN COLLEGE, Tenn. (Oct. 11, 2016) â€" Milligan College's men's soccer team hosted the Montreat College Cavaliers on Tuesday night. The Buffaloes struggled on defense throughout the game and missed opportunities on offense, resulting in a 7-1 loss.
 
Milligan (4-8, 1-5 AAC) gave up a goal in the early minutes, when Montreat's Francisco Prado scored to put the Cavaliers up 1-0. The Cavaliers would only score two goals in the first half. Milligan had six shots in the first 45 minutes.
 
Both defenses played solid in the first 30 minutes of the second half with neither team scoring. Montreat ended the drought with two more goals in the 75th and 81st minutes.
 
One of the bright moments of the night came in the 83rd minute when senior Jesse Ramoya scored his team-leading fifth goal of the season.
 
The Cavaliers responded with three more goals in the closing minutes.
 
Buffalo goalkeeper Nick Smith had 13 saves in the game.
 
The Buffaloes return to action on Saturday when they host St. Andrews. Kickoff is scheduled for 1 p.m.
