MILLIGAN COLLEGE, Tenn. (Oct. 15, 2016) â€" Milligan College's men's soccer team hosted the Knights of St. Andrews University Saturday afternoon. After dropping three straight Appalachian Athletic Conference games, the Buffaloes reversed the trend and won 4-2.

Milligan (5-8, 2-5 AAC) played an efficient game, with 11 of its 15 shots being on goal. The Buffaloes were outshot overall 18-15, but had 11 on goal to the Knights' nine.

The Buffaloes pressured the Knights in the first half, outshooting them 10 to five. After several opportunities, Milligan capitalized on back-to-back possessions.
Luis de la Torre scored the game's first goal off of an assist from
Jack Allan. Next possession,
Jesse Ramoya scored his second goal in two games and was assisted by
Thomas Suits and
Zana Ali.

Milligan continued its pressure in the second half and scored two more goals, one from Ali and one from Allan. All four Milligan goals were either scored by or assisted by Allan, Suits, or Ali.

The Knights attempted a comeback and scored two goals late. They started to create more opportunities, but goalkeeper
Nick Smith and the Milligan defense held on to secure the win.

The Buffaloes return to action on the road at Tennessee Wesleyan on Tuesday. Milligan returns home next Friday night for Senior Night again Hiwassee College.
