CLEVELAND, Ga. â€" Milligan College's men's soccer team traveled to Cleveland, Georgia, on Tuesday to wrap up the season against the Truett-McConnell Bears. The Buffaloes gave up three goals in the first half and never made up the deficit and lost 6-3.
After the rough start, Milligan (6-10, 2-7 AAC) started the second half on a promising note. Senior Jesse Ramoya scored in the opening minutes to cut into the deficit. It was his team-leading seventh goal of this season.
The Bears shut down the Buffs' momentum with three more goals and never looked back. Truett-McConnell's Joao Costa took over the game, scoring three goals and assisting on two.
Milligan closed out the game with two goals from Josh Willard and Jack Allan.
The Buffaloes return to action in the play-in round of the Appalachian Athletic Conference tournament. With a few games remaining in the conference schedule, seeding and matchups have yet to be determined.ÂÂ
