Men's soccer wins lopsided battle at Johnson

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (Sept. 15, 2016) â€" Seniors Zana Ali and Jesse Ramoya struck twice apiece, and the Milligan College men's soccer team won a 6-0 decision against Johnson University Thursday night on the road.
 
Ali put Milligan (3-3) on the board in the seventh minute, heading in his third goal of the season on an assist from Luis de la Torre. After Ali made it 2-0 with his fourth goal of the season in the 15th minute, de la Torre scored one of his own to make it 3-0 in the 23rd.
 
Ramoya added one in the 29th minute to make it 4-0, then another on the other side of the break to make it 5-0 in the 48th minute.  Senior Collin Prusak rounded out the scoring in the 78th minute with the first goal of his career.
 
Nick Smith made one save and Luke Dove made two saves. The pair only saw a handful of shots as Milligan outshot Johnson 26-4 in the win. Other Buffs to make it into the stat book with assists were Jack Allen, Harrison Genseal and de la Torre.
 
Milligan's next two games will be at home as the Buffs host Union College on Wednesday, Sept. 21, and Reinhardt University on Saturday, Sept. 24. Game times are set for 7 p.m. and 4 p.m., respectively.
