Men's soccer drops home game to Life

MILLIGAN COLLEGE, Tenn. (Aug. 25, 2017) â€" The Milligan College men's soccer team fell 3-1 to the Life University Running Eagles in a highly physical game on Friday night.

Life's Wessley Soronellas scored the first goal within the final four minutes of the first half and then came back out in the second half scoring another in the first minute. Those two goals proved to be the difference, although similar to the last time out, Milligan started to rally in the second half.

Freshman Robell Habte responded with his first collegiate goal at the 72 minute mark with an assist from Matthew Crow. The Buffs battled hard; however, Thierry Jules added to the Eagles' lead with seven minutes left in the game. Keeper Nick Smith tallied a total of nine saves with two in the first period and the other seven in the second.

Milligan's offense was led by Jesse Ramoya with four shots, including three on goal. As a team the Buffs took 15 shots, including seven on goal.

The Buffaloes will be on the road for their next three games before returning home Sept. 10 vs. Cumberland University.
