Kellee Geren recorded her 14th double-double of the season as the Milligan College volleyball team picked up their 14th straight win in a four-set (25-17, 25-17, 22-25, 25-17) victory over Appalachian Athletic Conference member Truett McConnell Tuesday night inside The Bear Cave.

With the win, Milligan finished the season with a perfect 8-0 record away from Steve Lacy Fieldhouse and has clinched the AAC North Division with only one game remaining in the season. The Buffs are now 23-4 overall with a 16-2 mark in AAC play.

Geren continued to prove why she is one of the top players in the league as she racked up 45 assists and scooped up a team-high 17 digs for the match.

Elise Gregory was Geren's top target on the day with a match-high 16 kills on 41 attempts. Middle blockers
Julia Codispoti and
Julie Dockery drove home 12 and 11 kills respectively, and
Alyssa Gibson chipped in eight to round out the Milligan offensive attack.

Alyssa Rupert tallied 12 digs and
Layla Grant registered 10 from the backrow as the Milligan defense held the Bears to a .015 attacking percentage, which was well below their season average of .119. Rupert remains atop the national leaderboard in digs/set with 7.11 per game.

Milligan set the tone for the contest using a 9-0 run in the first set with the score tied at 14 all to pull away from the Bears and cruise to a 25-17 victory.

The Buffs followed with another 25-17 win in the second game before the Bears were able to get on the board in the third holding off a late rally from Milligan.

In the fourth and final set, the Buffs used a 6-0 run midway through the game to create enough distance to finish off the match and head home with yet another win.

Milligan wraps up the regular season Thursday, Nov. 1, as they host Union College inside Steve Lacy Fieldhouse for an AAC North showdown between the division's top two teams. The Buffs will then travel to Kingsport, Tennessee, for the AAC Tournament Nov. 8-10.
