LAURINBURG, N.C. (April 14, 2018) - The Milligan College softball team traveled to St. Andrews University for its third Appalachian Athletic Conference doubleheader of the week. The Buffs dropped game one and two to the Knights (2-1, 8-4).

BUFFS COME UP SHORT | GAME ONE
Despite falling down by an early 2-0 deficit,
Neelee Griffith's solo home run late in the fifth pulled the Buffs within one. However, it would not be enough as the Knights held on to win 2-1.

Milligan out-hit the Knights 4-3.

BUFFS BATTLE BACK, BUT FALL SHORT | GAME TWO
The Buffs tied the game twice but the Knights always had an answer.
Erica Roller drove in the tying run with a triple to left center, but the Knights answered, extending their lead to 4-3.
Jenna Gilbert sent Brianna Synder home with a single in the fourth to tie the game, 4-4. St. Andrews responded with three runs in the bottom of the fourth and another in the six to secure their AAC sweep over Milligan.

Similar to game one, the Buffs out-hit the Knights 11-8. Roller led with a 3-for-4 effort.
