BLUEFIELD, Va. (Feb. 14, 2019) â€" Four Buffaloes scored in double figures as the Milligan College men's basketball team wrapped up the 2018-2019 regular season with an Appalachian Athletic Conference road win over Bluefield College 71-69 Thursday night.

With the win, Milligan has now won five straight contests and improved their record to 21-7 and 16-6 in conference play. The Rams fell to 17-10 overall and 11-10 in conference play.

Milligan trailed at the half 28-27, but was able to outscore Bluefield 44-41 in the second period to pull out the road win.

Senior
Aaron Levarity registered his 21st double-double of the season as he finished with 18 points and 13 rebounds. Levarity hauled in seven offensive rebounds and finished 8-of-10 from the foul line.

Bo Pless matched Levarity for the team lead in scoring with 18 points on 7-of-11 shooting and the sophomore also drained 4-of-7 triples.
Jacob Cawood and
Tyler Nichols rounded out the double figure scorers for the Buffs with 12 and 10 respectively.

Desean Green stuffed the stat sheet by dishing out eight assists, hauling in five rebounds, providing two points and a steal.
Mike Featherston chipped in six points and four rebounds.

A big key to the Buffs success in the second half was due to their 3-point shooting as they knocked in 7-of-14 triples and finished the game with a 40.9 percent clip from deep. Defensively, Milligan held the Rams to 23.1 percent from behind the arc.

Bluefield was led by Niquan Cousins with 17 points and Jorge Concepcion with 16 points and eight rebounds.

The win wrapped up the regular season for the Buffs and they will look to extend their season at the AAC conference that will take place Friday, Feb. 21, through Feb. 23, at the MeadowView Conference Resort & Convention Center in Kingsport, Tennessee. Milligan will serve as the No. 3 seed.
