Tennis drops dual match to Lees-McRae

BRISTOL, Tenn. (Feb. 24, 2019) â€" The Milligan College tennis teams avoided the rain by moving indoors to face Lees-McRae College Saturday afternoon at Bristol Racquet & Fitness Club, but the Buffaloes fell to the Bobcats 4-1 on both sides.
 
Taylor Graalman picked up his sixth singles win of the season, improving to a perfect 6-0, as the lone point on the men's side. He won 6-0, 6-3 at No. 2 singles. Marlaina Peterson took the lone point on the women's side with a 6-2, 6-1 win at No. 6 singles, improving to 5-1 on the season.
 
Milligan moved its record as a team to 4-2 for the women and 3-3 for the men.
 
Up next, Milligan hits the road for Hilton Head Island, South Carolina, for a series of matches over spring break. Milligan was originally on the schedule to play at home Sunday. Instead, the next home match for the Buffs will be a men's only match, scheduled for Saturday, March 9, against Grace College. The women will be home again Saturday, March 23, in a men's and women's dual match versus Southeastern.
