LEVARITY HELPS SEAL WIN WITH CRUCIAL REBOUND
Tied at 75 all with 2:01 remaining,
Jacob Cawood finished off a layup thanks to a nice assist from
Desean Green to allow Milligan to capture a 77-75 lead. After a missed three on the other end, Milligan sealed the deal on the offensive end.
ÂÂ
Green missed a 3-point attempt with 27 seconds remaining as the shot clock was winding down, but Levarity came flying in for a crucial offensive rebound that would ultimately help close out the win for Milligan.
ÂÂ
Levarity kicked it out to Nichols who drew the foul and netted the pair of free throws to extend the lead to 79-75. Bryan turned it over on the ensuing possession and Levarity drained a pair of foul shots on the other end to make the final score 81-75.
Milligan trailed 38-35 at the half, but an 11-0 run that began on a made 3-pointer by Green at the 17:19 mark of the second period allowed Milligan to flip a 45-40 deficit into a 51-45 lead. The Lions would work their way back on top and both teams would trade the lead several times for the remainder of the contest until the Buffs ultimately came out on top.
