CLEVELAND, Ga. (March 4, 2019) â€" After dropping the first two games of the series Saturday, the Milligan College baseball team suffered a sweep Monday at Truett McConnell University, losing the three-game Appalachian Athletic Conference finale, 18-6.
 
Truett led from the first inning on and quickly put the game out of reach. With one out in the top of the first inning, the Bears put together a string of five straight batters reaching base, including Jackson Meadors who hit a two-run double to left field. Milligan trailed 4-0 after one, 6-0 after three, and 12-2 after five.
 
Up next, Milligan hits the road for Reinhardt University in another AAC series this weekend. Teams are scheduled to play a single game Friday at 3 p.m. and a doubleheader Saturday at 12 p.m.
