JEFFERSON City, Tenn. (November 27, 2023) – The Milligan University men's basketball team dropped an exhibition game at NCAA Division II Carson-Newman 111-60 on Monday evening.

Lincoln Thomae scored Milligan's first five points with a jumper and a three-pointer as Milligan trailed 7-5 through the first 2:30 of play. The Eagles embarked on a 17-2 run to build a 24-7 lead with 13:48 to play in the half. The Buffs pushed back within 12 (26-14) after a Jaz Johnson three-pointers, a Thomae layup and a Follie Bogan basket but C-N responded with the next eight points to lead 34-14 midway through the half and 60-30 at the break.

C-N scored the first 14 points of the second half and cruised to the nonconference victory.

Thomae had 14 points, six rebounds and three assists. Bogan added 11 points. McCaskill Rivers chipped in with nine points and Jay Richmond had eight.

Milligan hosts Kentucky Christian in a conference matchup on Wednesday evening at 7:30 p.m.
