Buffs Women's Bowling Places Fifth at Lynne Jordan Memorial, Horton Grabs Eighth-Place Result

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – On Saturday, the Milligan University women's bowling continued their 2024-25 season in Louisville, Ky. at the Lynne Jordan Memorial. At the conclusion of the event, the Buffs posted a fifth-place finish out of 17 competing programs.  

The Buffaloes compiled 5,578 pins across four team games (3,891 pins) and eight baker games (1,687 pins) to place in the fifth spot. 

Emilee Horton accomplished an eighth-place showing as an individual, with a total of 868 pins and an average mark of 217 pins per game. She had her best game in game one, when she posted a 279, which was tied for the second-highest total out of all participants. 

Milligan's JV1 squad had Taylor Phillips place in 28th as an individual, scoring 799 pins with a 199.75 average. Her best game was her final one, when she bowled a 221. 

The final two players in the top 50 for the Buffaloes were Emily Cheesman (35th) and Taylor Davis (36th). Cheesman came away with 775 pins, averaging 193.75 per game. Davis had 764 pins, posting a tournament-best game of 204 in her final of four tilts. 

The Buffaloes' slate continues tomorrow with the Thomas Burris Memorial in Louisville.
