GREENWOOD, Ind. – College Sports Communicators (CSC) has unveiled their women's volleyball Academic All-District Teams on Tuesday, as the Milligan University Buffaloes had three members of their squad selected for the honor, including two seniors and a sophomore.
Riley Brinn,
Addison Varney and
Faith Wilson qualified for the recognition in 2025.
Brinn, a Business Administration major with a 3.89 GPA, was an important piece defensively on the back row this season for Milligan. She posted a career-high 323 digs in her final campaign, while also serving as an outside hitter from time to time. She racked up 76 kills on the year, which was also a career-best mark on 326 chances (another career-high).
Varney's collegiate career lasted one fewer year than most, as the Biology major with a 3.89 GPA is graduating a year early. Athletically a junior, Varney had a career year in 2025. She was the most prolific blocker on the squad, rejecting 85 total swings, with 21 solo blocks and 64 block assists. The middle blocker also swung effectively, notching 166 kills on 414 tries for a .254 attacking average, which were all career-best marks.
The final member to earn the plaudits is
Faith Wilson, the sophomore setter. Wilson, having compiled a 3.89 grade-point average to this point in the Nursing program, filled some big shoes after assuming the starting setter role this season. She was a two-time Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Setter of the Week on the year, having totaled 1,031 assists. She also led the team with 28 service aces. Defensively, she provided 273 digs and 28 blocks, with 23 block assists and a quintet of solo rejections.
