WALESKA, Ga. – On Monday, the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) released the winners of the tenth edition of the AAC Men's Basketball Players of the Week. Milligan University's
Elijah Bredwood was tapped as the conference's top offensive player for the first time in his career.
The Buffaloes came out of their Wednesday upset of No. 12 Pikeville (103-96) with newfound confidence, namely due to the scoring prowess shown by Bredwood, who tallied 42 points on a stellar 16-of-26 shooting clip. That conversion rate included 8-of-14 from beyond the three-point arc. In addition to the scoring, Bredwood set the table for teammates, assisting on six of his team's baskets.
This is Bredwood's first POTW honor of his career in the AAC, as he also becomes the Buffs' first award winner in the 2025-26 season.
