ATHENS, Tenn. — For the third straight week, Milligan University's
Francisco de Bethencourt was named the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Men's Golfer of the Week, the conference announced on Tuesday morning. He has rattled off all three of his recognitions for the year back-to-back-to-back.
On Monday and Tuesday, de Bethencourt placed third at the Bob Dibble Memorial at Graysburg Hills Golf Club in Chuckey, Tenn., while setting the program record for 54-hole score. He had just 208 strokes over three rounds, beating Kody Fawcett's 2013 mark of 210. For de Bethencourt, it was rounds of 68, 69 and 71 that earned him the record and yet another weekly honor from the AAC.
