KANSAS CITY, Mo. – On Thursday, the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) revealed the second regular season version of the NAIA Cross Country Top-25 Ratings. The Milligan University women's squad was chosen as the No. 3-ranked program in the association.
The Top 25 is determined by a points system based on how each rater rates the best teams. A team receives 30 points for each first-place vote, 29 for second-place, 28 for third-place and so on through the list. The highest and lowest ratings for each team are removed. The rating is rated by a panel of head coaches representing each of the conferences and unaffiliated groupings.
Since the release of the first regular-season rating, the Buffs have not raced their top runners. In this installment, the Buffaloes earned 528 points, sitting just three points out of second and 21 away from the top spot.
