CORBIN, Ky. — Milligan University's Joanna Halterman was selected, as announced on Tuesday morning, as the Appalachian Athletic Conference Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week after her effort at the Southern Showcase in Huntsville, Ala. on Sept. 19.

Halterman supplied a personal-best time of 18:04.7 in the 5k race, placing 66th out of 309 runners in the race. She was the top NAIA finisher and led the Buffaloes to 22nd place overall. It is the first Runner of the Week honor in Halterman's career with the Buffs.
