SMYRNA, Tenn. – The United States Bowling Congress Intercollegiate Singles Championship (ISC) Sectionals took place Friday, as more than 800 collegiate men's bowlers and 700 women competed across four regional sites for one of 24 qualifying positions in the ISC Championships, scheduled for April in Green Bay.
At the Smyrna, TN sectional, Milligan's top men's finisher was
Kayden Lamon, who placed 78th with a six-game total of 1,171. Lamon's top performance came in Game 5 with a high game of 248.
Bryson Headrick also represented the Buffs, finishing 100th with a total of 1,143.
Cooper Baldwin placed 148th with 1,036 pins, while
Britt Clark (164th, 984) and
Cooper Brackins (165th, 981) rounded out the Milligan men's competitors.
On the women's side, six members of the Lady Buffs competed at the Pittsburgh sectional.
Emily Cheesman led the Milligan contingent with a 14th-place finish, totaling 1,178 pins across six games for a 196.3 average and a top game of 233.
Emilee Horton and
Molly Burnett followed closely behind, finishing 20th and 21st with totals of 1,163 and 1,161, respectively.
Laci MacQuisten placed 52nd with 1,096 pins, while
Paige Fortier finished 58th with 1,084.
Emily King rounded out the group in 77th place with a total of 1,042.
Also competing in the Smyrna sectional for the Lady Buffs was
Gianna Bringham, who finished 56th with a six-game total of 1,129.
Competition continues Saturday with the Intercollegiate Team Championships sectional round, where both the men's and women's teams will compete for a top-four finish and a berth in the ITC Championships.
