KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Milligan University has sent a list of 14 total student-athletes to Gainesville, Fla. for the NAIA Indoor Track & Field Championships on March 5-7. The Milligan men have six individuals making up four individual qualifiers and one relay squad, while the women will have eight athletes running seven individual events, as well as a Distance Medley Relay.

On the men's side of things, Luis Peralta holds the top mark of 1:17.52 in the nation in the 600m and is looking to become the national champion. Marti Molins Rallo also runs an individual event in the 800m, in which he currently sits at No. 6 in the nation with a time of 1:50.79. Continuing to climb the ladder, Carter Windham is a 1000m qualifier, as he holds a time of 2:27.98 coming into the event. Lastly for the individuals is Aaron Gottlied in the 3000m, who has the eighth-quickest time of 8:25.33 in that event. Each of the individual events' preliminaries will take place on March 6. Peralta, Molins Rallo, Windham and Gottlied are all part of the group that will make up the men's 4x800m Relay team, as well as Evan Holbrook and Rowen Moser-Bryan as alternate options for the March 5 prelims.

Milligan's women have a large number of individual qualifiers and enter the national meet ranked fourth in the nation. Ellen-Mary Kearney is currently the 3000m favorite with a NAIA-best time of 9:23.37. Two other Lady Buffs will run the 3000m, with Karly Wilhjelm (10:11.16) and McKenzie Fitzgerald (10:19.60) qualifying. Fitzgerald will also take part in the 800m, with her season-best mark of 2:18.41. Annabelle Stewart will take part in the 5000m, an event in whch she currently holds the second-fastest time in the NAIA this season at 17:14.60. Ana Canibano is set to run in the 1000m race, as she came away with a 2:59.57 time in her top run of the year. Finally, Kaylee Coll will run the Mile, with a season-best clip of 5:10.29. The lone individual event that has a prelim on March 5 is the 5000m, while all others will take place on March 6. Any four of the previously mentioned six women, plus two alternate options Aleah Soderman and Morgan Wilson, will team up for the Distance Medley Relay prelims on March 5.
