Milligan Men's and Women's XC/TF Teams Claim Top-10 USTFCCCA Program of the Year Finishes

NEW ORLEANS, La. — Milligan University's men's and women's cross country/track & field programs were both honored with top-10 placements in the United States Track & Field Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Program of the Year rankings at the NAIA level, which were released on Tuesday afternoon.

"As our league continues to grow more competitive," head coach Chris Layne said, "seeing both squads in the top 10 of the Program of the Year rankings is incredibly rewarding. This achievement speaks to the daily work of our student-athletes and coaches, who have established a year-over-year culture where success is the standard."

Milligan's women's programs had a sixth-place finish, nabbing second, 18th and 30th-place finishes at the 2025-26 National Championships (cross country, indoor and outdoor), respectively.

The Buffaloes' men placed ninth as a squad, finishing eighth, 16th and 25th, at their national events.
