Milligan opens up their year with the Carter County Omnium in Elizabethton on Aug. 15-16. The exhibition race warms them up for their upcoming track season.
The track season is dominated by trips to Rock Hill, S.C., as the Buffs take their first of three trips to the Rock Hill Velodrome on Aug. 20-22. They then head back there a week later, Aug. 27-29, and yet again on Sept. 3-5.
The week after the squad's final trip to Rock Hill brings the USA Cycling Collegiate Track National Championships, which take place in Indianapolis Sept. 10-13.
Mountain bike season commences on Aug. 29-30 at Truett McConnell University in Cleveland, Ga., and it continues three weeks later at Lees-McRae College on Sept. 19-20. Milligan then competes in the Southeast Collegiate Cycling Conference Mountain Bike Championships on Sept. 26-27 in Brevard, N.C. to finish preparation for nationals.
On Oct. 8-11, the USA Cycling Collegiate Mountain Bike National Championships will be held at Powderhorn Resort in Grand Junction, Colo. to close out the first two disciplines of the year.
