CORBIN, Ky. – Kara McDaniel was named the offensive player of the week by the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) on Monday afternoon. McDaniel helped lead the Buffs to two victories on the week, first in a 1-0 win over Bryan College and again in 4-0 victory over Columbia College. 

McDaniel's performances throughout the week turned a Milligan offense that had scored just three times in six games into an efficient attack that found the net five times across two games.

Against Bryan, McDaniel broke a scoreless tie in the 59th minute with her first goal of the season, which stood as the game-winner. Three days later, she built on that momentum with a two-goal, one-assist performance against Columbia, where she and Halle Steele formed a dynamic duo. McDaniel assisted Halle Steele on the second goal of the match, and Steele returned the favor by setting up McDaniel's second goal, which gave Milligan a 3-0 lead and put the Buffs on their way to the 4-0 victory.
