Milligan College, Tenn. (Oct. 22, 2009) --- The Milligan College volleyball team snapped their four game win streak in Thursday night's loss to top ranked Union College (Ky.). The Lady Buffs fell to the Lady Bulldogs 3-0 (20-25, 19-25, 22-25).

Milligan was led by on the court by junior Erin Biddle (Newport, Tenn.) who chalked up a double-double with 12 assists and 10 digs. Senior Meredith Lynch (Lexington, Tenn.) led the Lady Buffs in assists, however, with 19 on the night. Libero Morgan Rutledge (Kingsport, Tenn.) led the home team in digs with 16, while freshman Holly English (Blountville, Tenn.) led the team in hitting with 10 kills.

“I felt like we matched up really well,” commented Head Coach Doneva Bays. “The biggest difference was doing the little things. We had moments when we did great things, but it all comes down to being consistent throughout the match.”

The Lady Buffs slip to 14-12 overall and 8-4 in the AAC, while the Lady Bulldogs improve to a league best 22-3 overall and 13-1 in the conference.

Milligan travels to take on the Lady Rams of Bluefield College (Va.) on Tuesday, Oct. 27, at 6:30 p.m.
