Milligan College, Tenn. (Oct. 27, 2009) --- The Milligan College volleyball team  fell to Bluefield College (Va.) Tuesday night in a five set AAC road match.  
Milligan (14-13, 8-5) trailed early as they lost the first two games  21-25 and 18-25, but bounced back to win the next two 25-18 and 25-22. The Lady  Buffs could not hold on though, as they dropped the decider  10-15.
Freshman 
Chelsea Spivey (Gate City, Va.), who had  been battling illness, returned to the court with a career high 48 assists and  11 digs for her seventh double-double of the year. Offensively, 
Bianca Burnett (Cookeville, Tenn.) recorded 17 kills, while newcomer  
Kendra Fiddler (Colorado Springs, Colo.) had 15 kills in just  three sets. Libero 
Morgan Rutledge (Kingsport, Tenn.) led the  defensive effort with 18 digs. 
“It was a tough conference loss,”  commented Head Coach 
Doneva Bays. “Bluefield was scrappy  tonight and had more desire to win then we did.”
The Lady Buffs travel to  North Greenville University (S.C.) for a non-conference matchup against the Lady  Crusaders Thursday, Oct. 29, at 6:30 p.m.    ÂÂ
