Rome, Ga. (Nov. 7, 2009) --- The Milligan College men's basketball team came up short in the final day of the Shorter Classic, as they fell to the Hornets of Concordia-Selma 93-83. ÂÂ
Newcomer
Justin Sylvester (Kingsport, Tenn.) continued his shooting streak as he led the Buffs for the third straight contest with 20 points and five assists. Fellow freshman
Torian Sitton (Hendersonville, N.C.) recorded a double-double with 18 points and 10 rebounds against the Hornets, while junior
Cordero Seymour (Inagua, Bahamas) also had a double-double with 17 points and a team-high 12 rebounds. Freshman point guard
Bryant Edwards (Tabor City, N.C.) was the last Buff in double digit scoring with 13 points. ÂÂ
“We had two close ball games this weekend, but we could not finish them off,” commented Head Coach
Bill Robinson. “The guys continue to gain experience each time we step on the floor which is good because we are a young team.”ÂÂ
Milligan travels to Tennessee Temple Thursday, Nov. 12, for their next contest. Tip-off is scheduled for 7 p.m.   ÂÂ
