Newcomer Holly English (Kingsport, Tenn.) saw action as the libero today and led the team in digs with 19. Seniors Meredith Lynch (Lexington, Ky.) and Kalyn Perrigan (Bristol, Tenn.) both pitched in 10 kills apiece, compliments of assists from freshman Chelsea Spivey (Gate City, Va.). Spivey tallied 33 assists against the Lady Scots. ÂÂ
“After a disappointing loss last night, I was very excited that the girls came out focused and hungry for a win,” commented Head Coach Doneva Bays. “Our main goal was to cut down our unforced errors and we were successful with that. Our offense seemed to be firing on all cylinders as well as a great defensive effort.”ÂÂ
The Lady Buffs host rival King College (Bristol, Tenn.) Tuesday, Sept. 15, in Steve Lacy Fieldhouse. The match is scheduled to begin at 6:30 p.m.    ÂÂ
