Milligan drops conference game to Bryan

Dayton, Tenn. (Jan. 6, 2010) --- The Milligan College Buffs fell to Bryan College (Tenn.) 61-46 on Wednesday night in AAC conference play.

The Buffs started the game on a roll as they jumped out to a 13-1 lead seven minutes into the contest. While Milligan built a 22-8 lead with seven minutes remaining in the first half, the Buffs clung to a five point lead (30-25) at the half.

The second half saw the Buffs quickly jump back out to a 10-point advantage before the Lions went on a 14-0 run to take a 41-37 lead with 12:48 left to play. Milligan, however, was unable to close the gap on the Lions in the closing stages of the contest.

Justin Sylvester (Kingsport, Tenn.) had 14 points for the Buffs while Cordero Seymour (Inagua, Bahamas) had his fourth double-double of the season with 12 points and 10 rebounds, while Bryant Edwards (Tabor City, N.C.) added eight points for the Buffs.

With the loss, Milligan falls to 4-8 overall and 2-2 in conference play.

The Buffs will finish out their four game road trip on Saturday when they travel to AAC foe Bluefield (Va.) College on Saturday evening. Tipoff is set for 7:30 p.m.
