Bristol, Va. (Oct. 14, 2010) --- The Milligan College volleyball team picked up another AAC victory as they defeated Virginia Intermont 3-0 on Thursday night in Bristol, Va.

In the first set, the Lady Buffs took a 25-19 victory. Milligan narrowly took the second set by a score of 25-23, and then secured the match victory in the third set by a score of 25-13. 

Chelsea Spivey (Gate City, VA) led the way with 26 assists and nine digs. Morgan Rutledge (Kingsport, TN) and Bianca Burnett (Cookeville, TN) led the Lady Buffs in digs with 17 apiece, while Kendra Fiddler (Colorado Springs, CO) and Kylie Whaley (Maryville, TN) led the team with eight kills apiece. Senior Erin Biddle (Newport, TN) recorded 10 digs.

With the win, Milligan improves to 18-9 overall and 7-2 in AAC action.

Milligan returns to action on Tuesday, Oct. 19, when they host Union College for a crucial AAC matchup. Game time is set for 6:30 p.m.
