Milligan College, Tenn. (Oct. 19, 2010) --- The Milligan College Lady Buffs snapped an eight game losing streak to AAC foe Union College as the Lady Buffs took a 3-1 victory on Tuesday night inside Steve Lacy Fieldhouse.
After falling 25-13 in the first set, the Lady Buffs bounced back to take the second set 25-18. The third set saw Milligan hold on in the closing stages as they took a 25-23 set victory. In the decisive fourth set, the Lady Buffs held off a Lady Bulldog charge to secure the victory as they took the set by a score of 25-22.

Bianca Burnett (Cookeville, TN) led the Lady Buffs with 21 digs and 10 kills. Former Dobyns Bennett standoutÂÂ
Morgan Rutledge (Kingsport, TN) also had 21 digs, whileÂÂ
Chelsea Spivey (Gate City, VA) recorded 24 assists and 16 digs in the game.

With the win, Milligan improves to 19-9 overall and 8-2 in AAC action. The Lady Buffs currently sit one game behind AAC leader Montreat College.
The Lady Buffs return to action on Thursday, Oct. 21, when they host Bluefield College in Steve Lacy Fieldhouse. The match has been designated as the Lady Buffs' Dig for a Cure event to raise awareness for the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation. Game time is slated for 6:30 p.m.
