Milligan College, Tenn. (Nov. 13, 2010) --- The Milligan College men's basketball team fell 85-54 to former AAC foe UVA-Wise on Saturday night inside Steve Lacy Fieldhouse.
Milligan kept in touch with the Cavs throughout the first half, and they trailed 34-25 at the half.
Hudson Fricke (Greeneville, S.C.) and
Steven Kraus (Oldsmar, Fla.) opened the second half with baskets to pull Milligan within five points. However, it was as close as the Buffs could get as they were unable to keep pace with UVA-Wise.
Fricke led the Buffs with 16 points, while freshman
Kyle Grisby (Charlotte, N.C.) added 10 points.
Cordero Seymour (Inagua, Bahamas) added eight points and seven rebounds.
“I am disappointed with the loss, but we got our freshman a lot of minutes to help them grow,” Head Coach
Bill Robinson said. “With a win or a loss, our main goal is to try and improve and get better every night.”
The loss drops Milligan to 0-4 on the season.
The Buffs return to action on Tuesday, Nov. 16, when they host Warren Wilson. Tipoff is slated for 7:30 p.m.
