Game Recap: Men's Basketball |

Buffs basketball falls on the road

Chattanooga, Tenn. (Dec. 1, 2010) --- The Milligan College men's basketball team opened up the December portion of their schedule with a trip to Tennessee Temple, but came up short to the Crusaders as they fell 95-81 in nonconference action on Wednesday night in Chattanooga, Tenn.

The opening part of the game saw both teams stay even. The Crusaders pulled away midway through the half, but a late Milligan run capped by Hudson Fricke's (Greeneville, S.C.) 3-pointer pulled the Buffs within six points at the break. The second half saw the Buffs have chances to cut the deficit to three points, but they were unable to capitalize and draw any closer to the Crusaders.

Former Dobyns-Bennett standout Justin Sylvester (Kingsport, Tenn.) led the way with 23 points, while Fricke added 16 points. Tim Harper (Catawba, N.C.) added 13 points, while Tyler DeVault (Kingsport, Tenn.) scored 10 points.

With the loss, Milligan drops to 2-6.

The Buffs return to action on Saturday, Dec. 4, when they welcome Southern Wesleyan University to Steve Lacy Fieldhouse. Tipoff is scheduled for 4 p.m.
