Barbourville, Ky. (February 1, 2010) ---The Milligan College women's basketball team fell on the road to the Lady Bulldogs of Union (Ky.) College Monday night, 73-61.

Leading the way offensively for the Lady Buffs was Alisha Mainer (Flag Pond, Tenn.) with 17 points and six rebounds. Also lending a helping hand was Heather Mandela (Fairfax, VA.) with 12 points and 10 rebounds, marking her fifth straight double-double and 13th of the season.

Offensively for the Lady Bulldogs, AAC points leader, Brooke Smith, recorded 25 points and three rebounds on the night. Also in double digits for Union was Kara Pile with 14 points, while Jessica Baker had 11.

With the loss, Milligan drops to 14-10 overall 7-4 in the AAC, as the Lady Bulldogs improve to 14-9 overall and go above .500 in the conference at 6-5.

The next game for the Lady Buffs is Wednesday, Feb. 3, as they travel to play Covenant (Ga.) College. Tip-off is set for 5:30 pm.
