Milligan College, Tenn. (March 14, 2010) --- The Milligan College Buff baseball  team hit the diamond and spilt in two contests to AAC foe Tennessee Wesleyan at  Anglin Field on Sunday afternoon. The Bulldogs came out on top 7-1 in the first  contest and the Buffs evened the series with an 8-4 victory in the second game.    
The two squads were originally scheduled for a nine inning contest,  but the schedule was switched to a double header after being rained out on  Saturday afternoon. The nine inning contest will be played on Monday.   
In the first contest, Milligan fell short of the Bulldogs 7-1. At the  plate, former Happy Valley star 
Ricky Morgan (Johnson City,  Tenn.) was 2-for-2 and was the lone Buff runner to get on the board.  
Colin Duffie (Calhoun, Ga.) recorded the loss in five innings  work.   
The second contest saw the Buffs hand Tennessee Wesleyan their  first AAC loss as Milligan came out on top 8-4. Milligan built up a 5-1 lead at  the end of the third, and tacked on three more runs in the sixth to secure the  victory.  
Eric Oxley (Ardmore, Tenn.), 
Andrew Sims (Johnson City, Tenn.) and 
Randy Rabon (York,  S.C.) were all 2-for-3 from the plate while 
Kendall Williams  (Dillion, S.C.) had three RBIs.
  
Shawn Ray (York,  S.C.) recorded the victory for Milligan with 5.2 innings of work. Ray  allowed seven hits and four runs in 24 batters faced.    
Milligan moves  to 10-7 overall and 3-2 in the AAC while Tennessee Wesleyan moves to 17-6 and to  4-1 in conference play.  
The Buffs return to action on Monday for the  makeup game with Tennessee Wesleyan with first pitch set for 2:00 p.m.
