Andrew Sims (Johnson City, Tenn.) hit a triple to right field with two outs in the bottom of the ninth to bring home
Dustin Ford (Jonesborough, Tenn.) and
Eric Oxley (Ardmore, Tenn.) to give the Buffs the win.  ÂÂ
Mike Gallo (Peabody, Mass.) earned the win in 1.1 innings of work on the hill for the Buffs Friday. Gallo gave up zero runs on zero hits, while striking out three of the five batters he faced. Milligan closer
Jason Trivett (Bristol, Tenn.) came in and retired all three of the Scotts he faced in the ninth to earn the save. For the year, Gallo is 1-0. ÂÂ
At the plate,
Wesley Jones (Kingsport, Tenn.) led the Buffs as he was 2-for-5 on the day, including a solo homer in the sixth inning. Ford was 2-for-5 on the day with an RBI, while
Randy Rabon (York, S.C.) went 2-for-4 against the Scots. ÂÂ
With the win, the Buffs improve to 12-8 on the year. ÂÂ
Milligan remains in Lookout Mountain, Ga., to complete the series against the Scots Saturday afternoon. Game 1 of the doubleheader is scheduled to begin at 12 p.m.
