Milligan women's soccer drops road match

 Rome, Ga. (Oct. 15, 2011) --- The Milligan College women's soccer team came up short in a nonconference contest on Saturday afternoon as they fell 1-0 to Berry College in Rome, Ga.
 
   The Buffaloes fought hard, but saw the Lady Vikings score the game's lone goal in the 36th minute by Keri McGinniss with the assist by Rachel Leroy. In the second half, Milligan continued to battle, but was unable to find the back of the net before time expired.
 
   Defensively, Lauren McInturff (Kingsport, Tenn.) recorded nine saves in one half of action. Heather Crumplen (Courtice, Ontario) also had three saves in the game.
 
   With the loss, Milligan falls to 7-5-1 overall.
 
   The Buffaloes return to action on Wednesday, Oct. 19, when they host AAC foe Bryan College. Game time at Anglin Field is slated for 7 p.m.
