Greeneville, N.C. (Nov. 11, 2011) --- The Milligan College men's basketball team fell 101-45 in an exhibition game with NCAA Division I East Carolina University on Friday night in Minges Coliseum in Greeneville, N.C.

  The Pirates, who are in the Conference USA, opened the game on a 14-2 run in the first five minutes. However, the Buffaloes battled back with a 9-2 run of their own to close the gap to 16-11 with 12:45 remaining. After the teams traded baskets, East Carolina went on a run to take a 49-18 lead into the half.

  The second half saw Milligan continue to fight, but they were unable to cut into the Pirates' lead.

Kyle Grisby (Charlotte, N.C.) led Milligan with 15 points, while freshman
Mickey Woods (Port Arthur, Tex.) had 10 points. On the boards,
Cordero Seymour (Inagua, Bahamas) and
Marshall Hardy (Kingsport, Tenn.) had seven and four rebounds.

  As a team, Milligan was 19-of-54 (35%) from the field and 4-of-15 (26%) from behind the arc. East Carolina was 35-of-70 (50%) from the floor and 13-of-21 (61%) from the 3-point line.

  The Buffaloes return to action on Saturday, Nov. 19, when they travel to Charleston, S.C., for an exhibition game with Charleston Southern. Game time is set for 7 p.m.ÂÂ
