Buffaloes women's basketball dispatches ALC

 Pippa Passes, Ky. (Nov. 22, 2011) --- The Milligan College women's basketball team picked up a 87-68 nonconference victory over Alice Lloyd College on Tuesday night inside Pippa Passes, Ky.
 
   The Buffaloes slowly built up a as they led 43-33 at the break. In the second half, Milligan continued to pull away as they outscored Alice Lloyd 44-35.
 
   Dorian Freeman (Augusta, Ga.) had 18 points, eight rebounds and six assists. Senior Alisha Mainer (Flag Pond, Tenn.) had 12 points, while Johneshia Good (Johnson City, Tenn.) had 11 points. Chelsey Weddle (Hampton, Tenn.) had 13 points for Milligan.
 
   As a team, the Buffaloes were 33-of-65 (51%) from the floor and 8-of-19 (42%) from the 3-point line. Alice Lloyd was 23-of-64 (36%) from the field and 4-of-16 (25%) from behind the arc.
 
   With the win, Milligan improves to 4-4 on the year.
 
   The Buffaloes open AAC play on Tuesday, Nov. 30, when they host Virginia Intermont inside Steve Lacy Fieldhouse. Game time is set for 5:30 p.m.
