Mars Hill, N.C. (Nov. 5, 2011) --- The Milligan College volleyball team wrapped up the regular season with a 3-0 loss to NCAA Division-II Mars Hill College on Saturday afternoon in Mars Hill, N.C.

  In the first set, neither team was able to pull ahead until the latter stages of the set as MHC took a 25-20 victory. The Buffaloes fought back in the second set, but was unable to hold on as they fell 25-22. In the decisive third set, Mars Hill used an early run to take a 25-13 victory to secure the match.

Kendra Fiddler (Colorado Springs, Colo.) had 12 kills, while
Kylie Whaley (Maryville, Tenn.) had seven kills.
Morgan Rutledge (Kingsport, Tenn.) had 19 digs, while
Holly English (Kingsport, Tenn.) and
Erin Pittman (Norris, Tenn.) had 14 and 13 kills, respectively.
Chelsea Spivey (Gate City, Va.) ended the game with 17 assists.

  With the loss, Milligan ends the regular season with a record of 11-18.

  The Buffaloes begin the AAC tournament with a must win game against Columbia on Wednesday, Nov. 9. Game time inside MeadowView Convention Center in Kingsport, Tenn., is slated for 3:30 p.m.
