Buffaloes baseball falls to Reinhardt

Waleska, Ga. (Apr. 8, 2011) --- The Milligan College baseball team was unable to hold off a late charge as they fell 8-7 in a nine inning contest to AAC foe Reinhardt College on Friday evening in Waleska, Ga.

Milligan tied the game in the top of the fourth at 1-1 before running out to a 7-1 lead entering the bottom of the sixth. However, the Buffaloes were unable to respond as the Eagles scored seven combined runs in the sixth and seventh innings.

Kyle Kolat (South Bend, Ind.) was 2-for-3, while Wesley Jones (Kingsport, Tenn.) was 2-for-3 with two RBIs. Cory Hilton (Johnson City, Tenn.) and Bart Roark (Mountain City, Tenn.) had two RBIs apiece.

Sean Robinson (Knoxville, Tenn.) got the start on the mound for Milligan and recorded a no decision. In five innings, he gave up two runs on five hits. Tyler Walker (Anaheim Hills, Calif.) was handed the loss as he gave up three runs on four hits.

With the loss, Milligan falls to 8-5 in the AAC and 18-20 overall.

The Buffaloes and Eagles return to action on Saturday, April 9, when they square off in a doubleheader. First pitch is slated for 2 p.m.
